Hara Masala pulao without meat
I saw this recipe on a Pakistani T V Food Channel ,,given by a dietician .For diet purpose It can be served with vegetable kababs ,,,or with carrot or cucumber raita….It is a quick and easy recipe with healthy ingredients.It has no meat..For kids and meat lovers it can be served with chicken curry,Shami Kabab ,raita and salad…
Rice 4 cup (cleaned & soaked)
Bullet Green chillies 10
Mint leaves 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves 4 tbsp
Curry leaves 20
Whole black pepper 6
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Onion 1 chopped
Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tsp
Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
Yogurt 3 tbsp
Tomatoes 2 big size fine chopped
Salt 2 and 1/2 teaspoon
Heat oil in a pot, Add onion and fry until light brown.Now add curry leaves and green chillies and fry a bit.Now
add whole black pepper, cumin seeds, cloves, ; sizzle it.
Now put in ,ginger garlic ,tomatoes and yogurt and sauté over medium heat for 5-7 minutes.
Add chili powder, garam masala powder,coriander leaves,mint leaves and salt. stir well.
Add rice and 3 cups hot water and mix again. Water level should cover whole rice .
When it comes to a boil, and reduce some water then stir and reduce heat to low, cover the pan with a lid and cook for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is done.
