Today I am posting a Guest post winner recipe for Ramadan meals which has been sent by my sweet blog reader Tahoora Adnan…..It is Custard cake recipe .

Custard cake

Ingredients:

1/2 cup unsalted butter

2 cups(480 ml milk)

4 eggs separated

4 drops white vinegar

1.5 cup confectioner’s sugar

1cup all purpose flour

1 tbsp water

1 tsp vanilla essence

Extra confectioner’s sugar for dusting
Method

Preheat the oven to 160 c n lightly grease a 9″ pan.

Whip the egg whites n vinegar to stiff peaks n set aside.

Melt the butter n set aside to slightly cool.

Warm the milk to Luke warm n set aside.

Beat the egg yolks n sugar until light.Mix with melted butter n water for 2 min or till incorporated.

Mix with the flour until evenly incorporated.

Slowly beat with the milk n vanilla extract until finely mixed up.

Fold with the egg whites 1/3 at a time.repeat until all of the egg whites r folded in.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan n bake up to 45-60 min or until the top of the cake become golden.

Allow the cake to cool n dust with extra confectioner’s sugar.
