Aaloo ki biryani(spicy potato biryani)

Masaledar  Aaloo ki biryani

This is my 200 th post and also the  1st anniversary of my food blog….Feeling blessed…this post is for vegetarians…because meat lovers do not like to listen the word biryani without meat.. …this biryani recipe is kids favourite and a quick meal to prepare For vegetarians…
Ingredients
Rice 3 cup (cleaned & soaked)
Oil 4tbsp
Black cardamom 1 pod
Whole black pepper 3-4
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Cloves 4
Cinnamon 1 stick
Onion 4 medium size (sliced)
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Potato 4-5(cubed)
Red chili powder 1 tsp

Biryani masala powder 2-4 tbsp(according to your choice)

Turmeric powder 2 tsp
Yogurt 3 tbsp
Tomatoes 4 big size fine chopped
Salt 1 teaspoon
Cooking Directions
Heat oil in a pot, Add onion and fry until light brown.

add black cardamom, whole black pepper, cumin seeds, cloves, cinnamon ; sizzle it.
Now put in ,ginger garlic paste,potato ,tomatoes and yogurt and fry for 10!minutes.

Add turmeric, chili powder, biryani masala ,cumin powder and salt and stir. Cook till the potatoes done…

Boil 3 cups of rice with 1 and 1/2 tsp salt and strain in a strainer.
Make layers of rice and prepared potato masala..
Dissolve 1/2 tsp of yellow food colour and pour all over the rice .simmer for 5 minutes.
Serve hot  With raita.
