Pakwaan  house chicken karahi(Shaadi wali karahi)

Pakwaan  house Karahi is famous chicken Karahi in pakistani weddings…but you will have to ignore too much oil for this….

Chicken , karhai cut 1.5 kg

Remove  skin and Blend 5 medium size Tomatoes

Yogurt 1 cup

Salt 1 .5 tsp

Red chili powder 2 tsp

Red chili flakes 1 tsp

Green chilies (slit) 5-6

Turmeric powder 1 tsp

Big cardamom seeds (crushed) 1 pod

Black pepper freshly crushed 1/2 tsp

Cumin seeds crushed 1/2 tsp

Oil or ghee 3/4 cup

Tomatoes 4 cut in slices

for garnish

Ginger (julienne cut) 2 tbsp

green chilies

METHOD:
In a pan add oil and blended tomatoes…leave it to cook on high flame till water dries out.then chicken, fry .

Now add salt, sliced tomatoes , red chili powder, crushed red chilies, turmeric powder, yogurt and slit green chilies . Cover the lid.

Cook till water dries . Now on high flame cook and add cardamom seeds, cumin seeds, black pepper and ginger (1 tbsp.)


Mix well and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

Garnish with green chilies and ginger
