raw mango chutney


Raw mango chutney(nauratan chutney)


 Raw mango 1 kg( big unripe mangoes)Peel them and grate.cut some in cubes.


Sugar 2 and half cup

Water 3 cup

 Take a pot and add water and sugar.Cook till sugar dissolves.Then add raw mangoes and following ingredients.

 Salt 1 and  half tsp

garlic 2 cloves chopped

red chilli powder 1/2 tsp

kalonji 1/2 tsp

Whole Red chillies 8

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

Cook till raw mangoes become tender.Then add

 3 tbsp vinegar

Raisins 3 tbsp

Chopped Almonds 5

and turn off the flame.

    we dont get mangoes here. the only ones that come are very expensive. But i just noticed the sidebar…your recipe range is amazing…must try out some of the other ones

    What’s the total cooking + preparation time please?

      It will take 1 hour for 1 kg mangoes…

    Assalamualaikum dear.. looks like I have been here before.. Raw mango chutney.. jatpata.. yum.. I am craving for these and have no luck with raw mangoes here yet. And looking through the ingredients list, I must say this is totally new to me.. we never made this way.. and I am bookmarking this for laters. lovely dear.. I am salivating now thinking of raw mangoes 😛

    I ate something similar in India. It was called choondo – but I never knew how to make it. So thanks. for the recipe. Mangos are my favourite fruit and this looks delicious.
